Majid Majidi - Bacheha-Ye aseman AKA Children Of Heaven (1997)
Basically, "The Children of Heaven" is a story about the life of an humble iranian family. Their live in the Teeran city outskirts. The kids, Zohre and her older brother, Ali, get in a trouble when Ali lost Zohre's shoes. Because they're very poor, they have to share the same pair of tennis shoes. Then, Ali's unique objective is to obtain a new pair of shoes to his sister.This is the type of movie that makes you think. After watching it, I was thinking about real meaning of happiness. The film shows me that we don't need money, fame or success to be happy. I learned that true happiness, is bring hope and happiness to the persons who are near you.
A very touching movie. In our Western world we have so much, it's hard to image that a pair of shoes can be of such importance.
