NOTICE
This is not a great rip. The DVD I ripped is a mediocre NTSC conversion from a PAL master; the film speed is poorly compensated for NTSC, colours are rather weak, sharpness is seriously lacking in panoramic shots, and the image seems to have been cropped at the sides from a much broader 2.35:1 ratio. Also quite annoying are those quite large, non-removable English subtitles. Don’t say I didn’t warn you !
PLOT SUMMARY:
In a post-apocalyptic world, a rebellious youth fights a repressive regime by drawing and posting anti-government slogans, and finds dangerous love with a mysterious woman.
COMMENT:
Furia was adapted by director and co-screenwriter Alexandre Aja from a short story by Julio Cortazar, an Argentinian refugee who fled to Paris in the era when rebellious citizens were "disappearing". Cortazar also authored the story Of Michaelangelo Antonioni's cinematic masterpiece "Blow Up".
